“Dear Summer,
I know you been missin’ me… for we go together like Nike Airs and crisp tees.”
Speaking of Nike Airs, I’ve been lucky enough to welcome in summer with an internship of genie-wish proportions. Between some connections at GVSU and working for you fine people providing dope tees, I was able to score an internship with Tyler D. Way from www.twaycustoms.net. You may not have heard of T.Way Customs yet… but that’s only because his clientele ranges from pro hoopers like Rip, Tayshaun, and recent MVP winner Lebron James, to environmental and car companies like e-log and Jaguar. Euuugghhk!
Check out the 1-of-1′s he made exclusively for Lebron at his ’09 MVP awarding:

Yup.
Dope right? So how’re they made?!
“The customization process may be a time consuming, step-by-step process, but it is the only true way to represent you & to properly make you stand out from the mundane. Modification begins with a pair of new sneakers that are stripped of their factory coating with a professional leather preparer & deglazer. Once prepared, Tyler will then apply numerous thin coats of specialty leather paints that will not chip, crack, or peel under normal wear. The designs are freehand painted without the aid of stencils, tape, or steroids (unlike the MLB) thus making them 100% natural and each sneaker truely unique. The shoe is then recoated with weather and waterproof finishes. Total production time varies, but the average length seems to be around the 25-30 hour mark. Due to these facts, it’s not rocket science to understand the exclusivity of the T.WayCustoms products & the difficulty for one to get an opportunity to obtain a pair.”

Lemme just say… wowwwww. Rapper Nyle, all one take- with the audio being recorded live. Too crazy. I’ve never heard of this guy, but he had some pretty good lines; I like the delivery too. Clean, and optimistic.

I’ve been up late a lot the last few days working for finals and all that but thinking about this site a lot… we’ve got big things coming. A lot of huge changes, we’ll probably look a lot different when you see us fall semester.
I can’t speak much on the changes right now, but just know that we’ll be taking a lot of big big steps towards being more correct and real. We’ll probably do our own thing a little more and get a little less cookie cutter, the Flintstones tee (THIS WEEK, DON’T SLEEP ON IT) is a step in the right direction for us.
And while we’re hoping to start our professional business with the University over the Summer; we’ll also be distancing ourselves in some small way. Expect to SEE us more, since we’ve yet to do any advertising.
Also, I might consider actually using this blog again- since it got good readership when I did.
We’ll see…

I’ve been gone for a minute but im back with that jumpoff. Don’t know if hennny of you have heard the LMFAO track ‘We In Miami Trick’. Kinda stupidly dope.
The boy Sean Kane got at me to do our own rendering of the track. If you don’t know by now, Kane gets his Renaissance man on producing and rapping hits nastier than that shit you cough up after a Newport 100. Keep your eyes peeled for his third installment dubbed The Commission Mixtape Vol. 3 “I’m Gonna Make Music ‘Till I Gotta Get A Real Job.” Peep an exclusive on the mixtape and how he got started comin’ up rickity quick. For now get your fix on the new anthem, comin’ to a Rick’s near you. We In East Lansing Bitch! http://www.myspace.com/nicmangatvol1
